App startup: Custom web apps

The situation

A startup was building a timekeeping app for businesses, with a mobile app and a web app to go with it. They needed a development partner to work alongside their lead developer and help get it built and launched faster.

What we did

We joined as a development partner. We built key parts of the backend, including the database, user sign-in and data backups, and we took on parts of the app itself so the lead developer could move faster. The mobile app is built in React Native, so a single app runs on both iPhone and Android.

The result

The app launched and is live in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, with the web app alongside it. Sharing the work sped up their development.
